Russia’s Taganrog Automobile Plant (TagAZ) and BYD Auto were expected to sign a cooperation agreement on Wednesday, according to materials released for the fifth Russian–Chinese business forum on Tuesday.
TagAZ and BYD Auto plan to assemble the F3 sedan model, TagAZ said earlier.
Established in 1997, Rostov Region-based TagAZ has produced Hyundai models under licence since 2001. Starting in 2008, TagAZ has also assembled several Ssangyong models. It started producing cars under its own brand in 2009.
