Nikolai Simutin, an adviser to the general director of Suzuki’s Russian subsidiary, told reporters that the company could break ground on the plant in St. Petersburg’s Shushary industrial area by the end of this year.
Prime-Tass reported that the plant will initially produce Grand Vitara SUVs and SX-4 vehicles. Its annual output is projected at 30,000 units, with a further increase to 50,000 units, the report said..
