The minimal price for a Nissan Teana will be 892,000 roubles.
Nissan launched its plant in St. Petersburg in early June and produced 165 Teana cars during its first month of operations, according to ASM Holding, which monitors Russia’s automotive industry.
Nissan’s Russia plant will add X-Trail SUVs later this year. Capacity is put at 50,000 units a year.
Reports recently said that Nissan is considering assembling alliance partner Renault’s vehicles at its St Petersburg plant.
Nissan’s car sales in Russia increased 26% on the year to 146,000 vehicles in 2008.
However, the Russian car market this year is well down on 2008 as the recession bites.
