Nissan sales rose 80% to 52,053 cars in Russia in the first half of the year, Nissan Motor Rus said on Wednesday.

Nissan also sold 2,320 Infiniti vehicles in Russia in the first half. The brand was launched last October, Prime-Tass said.


In June, Nissan sold 11,274 cars and the most popular were the Almera Classic (2,765) and UK-built Qashqai (2,428).


In 2006, Nissan increased Russia sales 60% to 75,514 units.
