Belarus’ state-owned Minsk Automobile Plant, or MAZ, plans to launch the production of truck tractor units that meet Euro-4 emission standards in 2007, the company’s deputy director for sales and marketing, Vladimir Korol, said on Wednesday.

MAZ also plans to start the production of tractor units that meet Euro-5 emission standards in 2008, Korol said, according to Prime-Tass.
MAZ is the largest producer of heavy trucks in the former Soviet Union and has a 35% share of the Russian heavy truck market.
