Its European unit will build the plant to supply VW’s Kaluga region facility, according to Reuters.


The target is to have the plant built by the end of next year, Hubert Hoedl, vice president of planning and marketing for Europe, said.


Construction would cost about EUR20m (US$26m), he added.
