Sales of Russia’s Kamaz group rose 6% year on year to 7.9 billion rubles in January-March, the company told Prime-Tass on Friday.

Truck sales amounted to 5,894 vehicles in the period, down from 5,909 vehicles in January-March 2004. Bus output totalled 119 units, the company said, without providing any comparisons.
Sales of auto components amounted to 1.5 billion rubles. No comparisons were provided.
The Kamaz group’s share of Russia’s automobile market amounted to 36.7% in March.
The Kamaz group includes Russia’s largest heavy truck manufacturer Kamaz (KMAZ), which is based in the Russian constituent republic of Tatarstan, the Neftekamsk auto plant, which is located in the constituent republic of Bashkortostan, and Avtopritsep-Kamaz.
