Chief executive officer Sergei Kogogin told the company’s labour union conference that assuming a favourable market environment in 2010, Kamaz’s output may rise as much as 15%–20%. He added that in this case the company may also raise employee wages.


According to earlier reports, Kamaz planned to produce 25,000–28,000 vehicles in 2009.


Some observers believe that the Russian economy will revive in 2010 as energy prices rise and manufacturers rebuild depleted stocks.
