IzhAvto, which already builds the Spectra, did not name the new Kia model, according to a Prime-Tass report.


IzhAvto also said that it plans to assemble 8,000 Spectras cars in 2005, 25,000 in 2006 and 40,000 KIA in 2007.


The firm is is part of Russia’s SOK group and also produces Lada cars.
