Hyundai has revised up its forecast for car production this year at its Russian plant as it continues to expand sales in the recovering Russian market.
According to the press office of the St Petersburg government’s investments and strategic project committee, it has raised its output forecast by 14.2%.

Hyundai is also looking to expand its car production capacity at its St Petersburg plant in 2012 to 200,000 units annually, the committee also said.
At present, the plant’s annual production capacity is 150,000 vehicles.
The Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus plant was launched in September 2010. It currently produces Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio cars.
In the first nine months of the year Hyundai’s Russia sales were up 86% to 114,161 units.
