OAO Russkie Mashiny, which controls the vehicle production assets of Russia’s Base Element holding, has increased its stake in the GAZ vehicle maker to 79.26% from 73.39%, according to the Prime-Tass news agency.

This is a result of the reorganization of GAZ into an automobile holding, which took place in 2005, and currently comprises Base Element’s vehicle production assets.
The GAZ holding comprises GAZ automaker itself, Pavlovsky Avtobus, or PAZ, Golitsyno Bus Plant, or GolAZ, Kanashsky auto plant, Saransk Dump Truck Plant, Likino Bus Plant, or LiAZ, Kurgan Bus Plant, or KAVZ, Yaroslavl Motor plant and Yaroslavl Fuel Equipment Plant.
