The most popular models in the period were the S-class with 1,250 cars sold and the C-class (853), the company said without providing comparisons, according to Prime-Tass.
Mercedes-Benz sells virtually its full range in Russia.
DaimlerChrysler also sold 1,263 Chrysler and Jeep models there in the first half, up from 864 last year.
It also sold 892 Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles but provided no comparison.
Mercedes-Benz sales in Russia totalled 4,848 vehicles last year.
