The Russian government plans to bail out mostly state-controlled companies, first deputy prime minister and finance minister Alexei Kudrin has said.

“We’re mostly concerned with companies (controlled by the government),” Kudrin told Prime-Tass. He also said the government would focus bailout efforts on automakers GAZ and AvtoVAZ.


AvtoVAZ is co-owned by state-owned industrial conglomerate Rostekhnologii, investment bank Troika Dialog and French automaker Renault. GAZ is controlled by Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska.
