GAZ Group is looking for partners to increase production at its UK LDV van plant LDV, deputy CEO Vadim Sorokin said on Monday.

“We are looking for options in order to share responsibility for this business between us and possible additional partners. We are interested now in increasing the sales of (Maxus commercial vehicles),” Sorokin said, according to Prime-Tass.


LDV has said it might become insolvent if it does not receive a British government loan while the government, in turn said the Russian parent company should bail it out.


There have also been recent reports of an attempted management buy-out and of a possible sale and transfer of production overseas.
