Russian automaker GAZ Group is working on a new deal to supply vehicles to Iran, Oleg Markov, director for sales and marketing at the group’s commercial vehicles division, said on Tuesday.
A contract to supply 5,000 GAZelle and Sobol light commercial vehicles is currently being negotiated, he told ITAR-TASS.
The group plans to start supplying the LCVs to Iran in October.
GAZ Group shipped vehicles to Iran in 2007-2008.
