Ford Motor Company sold 8,619 vehicles in Russia via official dealerships in January-March, 37.3% up year on year, a representative of Ford Motor’s Russian office told the Prime-Tass news agency.

The best-selling model in January-March was the Focus, with a total of 6,477 cars sold.
The company assembles the Focus at its plant in the city of Vsevolzhsk in the Leningrad region.
Ford also sells its Ford Ka and Mondeo cars, the Galaxy minivan, the Explorer, Expedition and Maverick sport-utility vehicles, and the Ford Transit van, along with other models in Russia. No other figures or comparisons were available.
In 2004, the company sold 39,241 cars in Russia, up from 20,712 cars in 2003, Prime-Tass said.
