The plant resumed production only on 10 August after a scheduled summer holiday. It had suspended production on 20 July.
In June, the plant introduced a four-day working week in order to avoid worker cuts amid falling car sales.
According to ASM Holding, which monitors Russia’s car industry, Ford assembled 24,619 cars in January-June at the plant.
The Interfax news agency quoted Ford spokeswoman Ekaterina Kulinenko as saying: “The company thinks that this year only 1.4m new cars of all producers will be sold in Russia, which means the market will be cut in half compared with last year’s figures.”
Ford opened the Leningrad region factory in 2002 to produce its most popular models.
