BMW said on Friday that its sales in Russia fell to 1,640 cars in the first half of the year, from 1,810 in the same period last year, according to Dow Jones.

The report said that BMW’s 3-series was the most popular model with 525 cars sold, while sales of the 7-series and Mini grew to 338 cars from 269 and 72 from 19 respectively.

BMW also sold 58 new Z4 models, which were only introduced into the Russian market in late April, Dow Jones said.

According to the report, BMW said that 40% of its Russian sales were in Moscow, 20% in St. Petersburg and the rest in another 17 Russian cities where it has dealerships.
