AvtoVAZ suspended production for the entire month of August in order to reduce stocks.

Production lines at GM-AvtoVAZ, which makes the Niva SUV, have also restarted.

AvtoVAZ employees are expected to work 20 hours per week and receive wages only for the time they work, the report said.
