The company suffered when Russia’s car market went into reverse late in the year, but has also lost share to foreign brands made locally in recent years.
Of the total, sales of Lada Kalina cars rose 19% on the year to over 94,000 units in 2008 and sales of Lada Priora cars amounted to over 128,000 units.
Exports exceeded 106,000 cars in 2008, flat on the year.
