AvtoVAZ produced 220,986 vehicles in the January–September period as sales plunged 44% on last year.
The troubled giant is currently negotiating loans to help it make social payments to 27,600 employees it plans to lay off by the end of this year, as well as attract further investment from Renault – which has a 25% stake in AvtoVAZ.
