Local media reports say that Avtotor of Kaliningrad has started the production of two new models – Opel Antara and Chevrolet Captiva.
Avtotor currently has capacity to produce up to 200,000 cars a year. It also assembles Chevrolet Lacetti, Chevrolet Aveo and a previous generation of Opel Astra.
In 2012 it is planned to produce about 300,000 cars of different brands in the plant (+35% on the previous year). Avtotor also assembles BMW and Kia models for the Russian market.
