Russia’s automobile output fell 59.7% year on year to 722,102 units in 2009, a spokesperson for ASM Holding, which monitors the country’s automotive industry, told Prime-Tass.
Of the total, car output fell 59.4% to 595,807 units, of which output of foreign-brand cars fell 52.9% to 278,940 units.

Truck output fell 64.5% to 91,090 units in 2009, including 7,103 foreign-brand tucks, down 61.5%.
