After having shown the Fiesta-based MPV at Geneva, Ford is finally going to put the model into production next spring.
According to WardsAuto.com, production version of the B-Max and a new one-litre EcoBoost engine will start in Romania in spring 2012.

“It is correct that there has been a delay in our plans for this plant. In the crisis, we put back our plans somewhat but otherwise they have not changed. We still find Romania a strategically correct decision.” WardsAuto quoted Wolfgang Schneider, Ford of Europe vice president-governmental, environmental and legal affairs, as saying.
The first prototypes of the model are being assembled with mass production set to begin at the Craiova plant.
“In Craiova, we will have a so-called mega-plant in which we will produce both engines and vehicles at a capacity of about 300,000 units each,” added Schneider.
