Ford is to continue short time working at its Craiova B-Max plant in December, the third straight month of stoppages in response to weak European demand.

The company said production of cars and engines will halt from 12 December and engine production will resume on 6 January and vehicles on 8 January. Employees will be paid 80% of normal wages during the stoppage.

Ford is also offering individual layoffs for employees who want to leave their job with severance pay equivalent to 24 months salary.
