Renault Group announced that it has appointed Nicolas Paris as the person to succeed Stephane Deblaise as the CEO of its South Korean manufacturing subsidiary, Renault Korea Motors Company, from September 2025.
Nicolas Paris brings with him 20 years of experience in global automotive component purchasing and leadership. Before he joined Renault in 2015, he worked at the German automotive components manufacturer ZF Lenksysteme.
Since then, he has held leadership roles in Renault’s operations in France, India and China, including as head of purchasing at the company’s Alliance Innovation Lab in China. His most recent appointment was that of vice president in charge of purchasing for batteries, e-powertrains, ADAS, connectivity, software and electronic components.
Renault Korea’s global sales were up slightly at 106,900 vehicles last year, including 39,800 sold domestically and 67,100 overseas.
Stephane Deblaise will leave the post he has held since March 2022 to head up Renault’s Indian operations.
Separate reports in South Korea suggested that Renault Korea has reached an agreement with its labor union in this year’s wage negotiations. The automaker has agreed to increase monthly wages by KRW 103,500 (US$75), and provide a separate 150% performance-related incentive and a KRW 2.5 million bonus.
