PSA is reportedly planning car-sharing services in Los Angeles in partnership with Bollore Group, according to remarks attributed to CEO Carlos Tavares.
"We're working with a good number of cities, including LA, to offer car-sharing solutions with Bollore Group," Tavares said at a seminar organised by French newspaper Les Echos.
A report by Reuters said that he added the company also had "other discussions in progress".
The comments from Tavares come as automotive OEMs look to address the arrival of potentially disruptive business models derived from emerging car-sharing and autonomous drive technologies that threaten their traditional business models.
Last year,PSA and Bolloré signed an agreement for the distribution and production of a Bolloré electric car that will be made at a PSA Peugeot Citroën plant in Rennes.
The two companies say they have a joint commitment to developing shared mobility solutions, including car sharing schemes using conventional and electric vehicles.
