Proton Holdings has rolled out its Proton Iriz model, which was earlier displayed at the DRB-HICOM Autofest last month.

“When we launched the new Persona in August, 2016 with improved Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) and better fuel efficiency, many people asked us if similar treatment could be applied to the Iriz since both the Iriz and Persona are based on the same platform as the Iriz,” said Proton CEO, Ahmad Kenali.

“We responded positively and was working on improving the Iriz since. And today, we have delivered on our promise. The Iriz now has been more refined and improved.

“The refinements made to the Iriz include improved Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH), we have also added the Eco-Drive Assist Indicator as well as refinement in the ECU calibration that provides linear response for improved driveability.”

Since it was first brought to the market in September 2014, Proton has sold more than 45,000 units of the Iriz, making it the second best-selling Proton car since its inception, after the Saga.
