Margareta Mahlstedt has been named general manager, marketing at Porsche Cars GB, from 2 July, succeeding Ragnar Schulte, who will transfer to the automaker's base in Stuttgart.
Mahlstedt, who has held senior positions at BMW/Mini and at Volvo Cars currently is director of marketing at Porsche Cars Canada. Her move to Britain will see her reporting to UK MD Alexander Pollich who transferred from Canada last January.
Pollich said: "We have worked together for several years [in] Canada where Mahlstedt strongly contributed to delivering record growth as well as innovative and highly effective marketing programmes that set the industry benchmark."
Schulte, GB marketing head for six years, will in Germany become director, experiential marketing – a global role in central marketing.
Pollich said: "The success of the experience centre at Silverstone and the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain as well as the highly successful LIFE pop up stores programme, the pioneering partnership with the Gett ride sharing initiative and our presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed are just a few highlights of his time with us."
