The engine will initially be used in the Avensis car line manufactured in the UK.


Annual production capacity is 180,000 engines and both 177hp and 150hp versions are built.


The Polish engine plant currently employs 350 but that will increase to about 900 employees in 2006. €200 million was spent on the plant.
