Samar also estimates that about 20% of the country’s vehicles were exported, mainly to Germany as dealers there continued to fill orders generated by the country’s scrappage programme which has now ended. A stronger euro – up more than 30% against the Polish zloty – makes Polish-built cars less expensive for buyers in Germany and other eurozone countries.
