In a deal with local Pilipinas Taj Autogroup, Tata Motors plans to launch diesel cars in the Philippines in July.
ABS-CBN News.com said the models are the Vista hatchback, Manza sedan, Indica hatchback and Indigo sedan priced from PHP550,000 (US$12,555) to PHP750,000.
Nicky Mariano, Pilipinas Taj Autogroup general manager, said: “We believe that the current lineup that [Tata offers] is very much applicable to our environment in our country.”
Tata diesel models fit the local distributor’s requirements for low emissions engines, enabling it to offer business buyers durable vehicles, Mariano added.
