New vehicle sales jumped by close to 42% to 20,924 units in September, from 14,764 units in the same month of last year, according to data released by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc (CAMPI).

The data excludes non-affiliated brands, such as Hyundai, Chevrolet and Subaru, which together typically account for 15% of total vehicle sales.
