Honda Cars Philippines this week announced the recall of 19,143 Jazz, City and CR-V passenger vehicles, as part of a broader recall programme affecting some 936,000 vehicles worldwide.
Honda said the recall affects vehicles built between 2005 and 2008, to replace a faulty power-window switch assembly. Only one of these models is assembled locally, the City compact saloon, the others are imported from Thailand.
Honda said the switches are affected by chemicals emitted by air fresheners and automotive cleaning agents which enter into the power window master switch and accelerate wear.
