Kia Motors Europe (KME) has released images of the second generation pro_cee’d ahead of the car’s world premiere at the Paris motor show.
“This car embodies emotion and energy through and through,” Peter Schreyer, Kia’s Chief Design Officer is quoted as saying. “You know from a single glance that this is a car you want to drive, not just own. Kia is on a distinctive design adventure and the all new pro-cee’d spearheads this forward looking journey.”

The second generation cee’d and cee’d Sportswagon had their world premieres at the Geneva motor show in March. The new range shares much with the second generation Hyundai i30. That car debuted at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2011.
Production of the three-door body style starts in January at KME’s Žilina plant in Slovakia, build of the wagon having commenced there in August.
The new Kia K3, which will be sold in some markets as the Cerato or Forte, is closely related to the cee’d. The K3 had its world premiere at last month’s Chengdu motor show in four-door sedan form and goes on sale in South Korea, its first market, later this month. Four-door, five-door and two-door derivatives of the K3/cee’d model series should be launched in the US and Canada during 2013 as the 2014 model year Forte/Forte Koup range.
KME, meanwhile, is expected to launch high performance versions of the cee’d and pro_cee’d in 2013.
