Following on from the record first three quarters in the company’s sales history, October was another record month for BMW Group deliveries. Sales of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles rose 4% year on year to 191,651 while, in the first 10 months, sales increased 7.1% to 1,836,464.

BMW brand sales increased by 6.3% in October to 164,915 vehicles. Deliveries in the first 10 months rose 5.8% to 1,560,697.

i vehicle sales rose 6.2% to 2,553 last month and in the first 10 months were up 78.6% to 23,133.

Mini sales year to date were up 15.4% to 272,819 but down 8.5% to 26,392 as model changes work through.

Europe deliveries were up 10.1% to 816,220 year to date. US sales rose 5.4% to 328,456.

Sales in mainland China grew 2.3% to 384,176.

"Our sales continue to grow steadily in all regions of the world, despite ongoing volatility in some markets," said sales and marketing head Ian Robertson. "Customers around the world are responding very positively to the new 7 Series, which has just arrived in the showrooms, so we are expecting to see additional momentum going towards the end of the year," he continued. Mini launched the new Clubman variant at the end of October.
