NSK says it has developed a ball bearing with sealing performance for fan clutches used in markets with harsh environments.
NSK is targeting JPY500m (US$4.1m) in global sales of the product by 2020.
A fan clutch is a part incorporated into the engine’s cooling fan. It has the ability to temporarily interrupt the driving force of the engine, maintaining optimal temperature and improving engine efficiency.
