The Nordic Business Report reports that Norwegian energy and materials group Norsk Hydro has said that its 49%-owned die cast automotive components company Meridian Technologies Inc had entered into a joint venture with SCAAC, a subsidiary of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation.

The joint venture was Meridian’s first strategic expansion into the Asia-Pacific region, Norsk Hydro said.
Meridian’s other owner is Teksid SpA.
