Suppliers traditionally do not release customer and model details for contracts like this until after the vehicle enters production but data in just-auto‘s Production Life Database suggests the contract could be for the upcoming Volkswagen group Bentley SUV which goes into production in Crewe, England in 2016, the same year Kongsberg starts English production of the hoses, or, given the following quote, the planned (SOP 2015) SUV from Tata Motors’ Jaguar.

“Kongsberg Automotive is well positioned to share growth opportunities with the customer, which is the fastest growing maker of premium SUVs,” said David Redfearn, sales chief for the fluid transfer business.

“This is fantastic news for our facility in Normanton and shows the value of having integrated processes in the demanding segment of fuel distribution. We control the extrusion and forming process to ensure our customer gets state of the art technology with local engineering and sales support to ensure excellent programme delivery,” Redfearn added.
