Kongsberg Automotive (KA) has secured a contract with an unnamed European OEM for the supply of massage systems worth an estimated total EUR62.5m (US$85m) during its lifetime.
The contract is for the supply of a massage system for driver and passenger seats in premium vehicles.

Kongsberg will start supply in the second quarter of 2015 from the company’s facility in Pruszkow, Poland.
“Massage is an important luxury feature and differentiator in the modern premium car and the KA massage system provides occupant comfort,” said Kongsberg Automotive VP sales and marketing, Hans Jorgen.
“This is being recognised by more and more of the leading car makers and [we] see this contract as a further strengthening of our market leadership within premium massage systems worldwide.”
