Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has provided a preview of its forthcoming all-new Tekton, to be produced in India for sale domestically and for export to select markets. The compact SUV is the second model to be developed under Nissan Motor India’s ‘One Car, One World’ programme.
The Tekton will be produced in Chennai in partnership with its Alliance partner, Renault, with sales scheduled to start in 2026. Nissan said the model’s design was inspired by the Patrol model, the company’s longest-running SUV.
