Airton Cousseau will be senior vice president, marketing and sales, at Nissan North America from 1 June.

In this role, he will be responsible for all US sales and marketing activities for the Nissan division.

Cousseau is currently VP, Dongfeng Motor, and managing director, Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle in China. He was previously president of Nissan Mexico.

From 1 May, Dan Mohnke, senior vice president, connected services, data, and digitalisation, adds responsibility for the company's customer journey and vehicle connected services teams.

Mohnke's organisation focuses on helping the automaker "capitalise on opportunities created by disruption in the automotive industry", according to a statement.

Billy Hayes, division vice president, Nissan regional operations, becomes division vice president, Nissan sales. He will oversee sales operations while maintaining responsibility for the brand's field sales organisation.

Judy Wheeler will be division vice president, dealer network development and customer quality. Her expanded responsibility will enhance the focus on support for both Nissan customers and dealers.

Fred DePerez, vice president, light commercial vehicle business unit, has been named regional vice president, Nissan northeast region based in Somerset, New Jersey.

He replaces David Kershaw who will now run the southeast region based in Atlanta.

Shawn Mirabal, head of the northwest region, adds responsibility for the west region. He will be a regional vice president based in Irvine, California.

Dave Mazur, vice president, customer quality, has left the company.

Meanwhile, Infiniti Americas announced Jeff Pope's appointment a group VP, also from 1 May.

He's currently senior director of sales operations and will be based in Franklin, Tennessee.

He'll oversee the premium brand's overall performance in the US, Canada, and Mexico, including strategic direction, planning, retail and marketing.

Prior to his current role, Pope was Senior director of global sales operations at Infiniti HQ in Hong Kong.

He has previously worked at Ford.
