EV maker Nio started taking orders for its new EL6 (ES6), smart EV SUV at the Shanghai motor show.
Market launch and first deliveries are scheduled for late May.

The automaker also used Auto Shanghai to launched the 2023 ET7, a smart electric flagship sedan. Orders in China and expected first deliveries start mid-May.
Nio is showing Shanghai visitors its N-Box, the ‘entertainment brain’ of its PanoCinema digital cockpit, which supports experience of multiplayer AR and allows plug and play connection with tablets and other devices.
“With easy control for both work and entertainment, the N-Box further enhances the digital entertainment experience for the on the road,” the automaker claimed.
The company is also doing live demonstrations of its now-proven Power Swap Station showing how the three ‘shifts; of preparation, swapping and storage are synchronised, speeding up the battery pack swap process and improving the experience.
