Nexteer Automotive has opened a new steering operation in Jiangjin District of Chongqing, China.
Chongqing Nexteer Steering System Co., Ltd., is co-funded by Chongqing Jianshe Industry and Nexteer Automotive. Chongqing Nexteer Steering System Plant is located in the new plant area of Degan Industrial Park in Jiangjin District.
With the business development, Nexteer Chongqing plans to provide over 700 jobs by 2021. It will serve customers in central and western China and overseas to supply steering system products (including brush EPS, brushless EPS and intermediate shaft) and relevant services. In addition, an independent measurement lab has been set up at Chongqing Nexteer to meet various customer demands.
Gong Yande, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee & Deputy General Manager of China South Industries Group Corporation to which Chongqing Jianshe Industry is a part, said: "This strategic cooperation between Chongqing Jianshe Industry and Nexteer will further expand the business area and consolidate business strengths. We have benefited a lot from efficient cooperation with the Nexteer in new project acquisition, product R&D and market expansion, which lays a solid foundation for sustainable development of future business."
