According to the steering systems specialist, the newly established 1,900m² site will assist local original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers through production and design validation testing.

Nexteer Automotive president, chief technology officer and executive board director Robin Milavec said: “Expanding our India Technical Centre represents a major step forward in Nexteer’s strategy to deliver comprehensive validation capabilities across our global footprint.

“This investment enables our India team to complement its digital expertise with new physical validation capabilities, ensuring quality, speed and deeper collaboration with our OEM customers in the region.”

The expansion enhances Nexteer’s engineering capacity in India and reinforces the region’s role within its global network for product development and validation, the press statement added.

Originally launched in 2018 as a software centre, the INTC has since evolved into a multidisciplinary technology hub engaged in software development, simulation, and digital validation for advanced driveline and steering systems.

The introduction of physical validation facilities broadens its scope, allowing for comprehensive testing and validation of driveline systems across both production and design phases.

Nexteer Automotive India managing director Madhav Kulkarni said: “We are proud to strengthen Nexteer’s presence in India with enhanced driveline validation capabilities.

“This expansion reinforces the strategic importance of our India engineering team and reflects Nexteer’s commitment to a future defined by innovation, agility and closer collaboration with customers worldwide.”
