Nexteer Automotive has expanded its India Technical Centre (INTC) by adding driveline physical validation capabilities, further developing its engineering and testing operations in the country.
The new facility is located about 20km from the existing INTC site.

According to the steering systems specialist, the newly established 1,900m² site will assist local original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers through production and design validation testing.
Nexteer Automotive president, chief technology officer and executive board director Robin Milavec said: “Expanding our India Technical Centre represents a major step forward in Nexteer’s strategy to deliver comprehensive validation capabilities across our global footprint.
“This investment enables our India team to complement its digital expertise with new physical validation capabilities, ensuring quality, speed and deeper collaboration with our OEM customers in the region.”
The expansion enhances Nexteer’s engineering capacity in India and reinforces the region’s role within its global network for product development and validation, the press statement added.

By GlobalDataOriginally launched in 2018 as a software centre, the INTC has since evolved into a multidisciplinary technology hub engaged in software development, simulation, and digital validation for advanced driveline and steering systems.
The introduction of physical validation facilities broadens its scope, allowing for comprehensive testing and validation of driveline systems across both production and design phases.

Headquartered in the US, Nexteer specialises in motion control technologies, including electric and hydraulic power steering, steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering systems, etc.
Its customer portfolio includes BMW, Ford, General Motors, RNM, Stellantis, Toyota, Volkswagen, and major automotive manufacturers in India and China.
In August this year, Nexteer posted first half 2025 revenues of $2.2bn, up 7% compared with the first half of 2024.
Nexteer said it continued growth momentum with China domestic OEMs (COEMs), with approximately $600m, or 39%, of bookings generated by COEMs’ business. Total bookings for 1H 2025 were $1.5bn.
