The New Zealand Herald said that Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand on Friday recalled three models to repair manufacturing flaws.

The Herald cited MMNZ managing director John Leighton as saying that the late-model Nimbus (known in other markets as the Chariot Grandis/Space Wagon) and RVR (Space Runner) models had problems with their brake hoses.

The Galant VR4 4WD also needed its fuel tank replaced, the Herald said.

The Herald report also said that Saab was recalling six 1995 Saab 900 models to inspect and possibly replace free of charge their airbag control modules.

In some cases the module’s capacitor may cause a short-circuit leading to the “inadvertent airbag deployment”, the company told the paper.
