Car2go has announced that 18 new dedicated electric vehicle charging points are available in three Amsterdam Q-Park garages.
Car2go and other car sharing operators are experiencing strong growth in some European cities. They could be fertile sales outlets for electric vehicles, but some operators and analysts believe there could be practical problems with charging requirements.
A tie-up for charging bays with a garage network such as ‘Q-Park’ could overcome some of the problems regarding the marrying up of pick-up/drop-off patterns with EV charging.
