Hyundai Motor Group’s autonomous driving subsidiary, Motional, revealed at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2026) in Las Vegas that it plans to launch a Level 4 self-driving taxi service in Las Vegas by the end of 2026, in a display of confidence in the safety aspect of its autonomous driving technologies.

Motional is understood to be in the final stages of validating the safety, drive-quality and customer experience of its self-driving taxis, having carried out pilot tests of the autonomous ride-hailing service in major cities around the world since 2018, including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Singapore.
