Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors Corporation reported a 5.3% decline in global production to 82,583 vehicles in October 2025, down from 87,191 units in the same month last year. Production in Japan rebounded by 11% year-on-year to 47,110 units after plunging by 33% in the previous month, while overseas output dropped by 21% to 35,473 units.
Sales in Japan declined by 18% to 7,980 units in October, reflecting a sharp drop in minicar sales, while exports increased by 1.5% to 19,810 units, with shipments to North America rebounding by 41% to 9,508 following a 20% drop in September.

In the first ten months of 2025, Mitsubishi produced 725,103 vehicles globally, down by 8.5% compared with 792,816 units in the same period last year. Domestic output declined by 5.5% to 381,448 units, while overseas production fell by almost 13% to 343,655 units. Sales in Japan rose by 1.1% to 99,105 units in this period, while exports fell by 6% to 179,705 units.
