Ford Motor Company’s Mexican subsidiary has temporarily halted production of F650
and F750 model trucks at its plant in Cuautitlan, in Mexico City’s outer north,
according to a report in the local newspaper Reforma.

Truck production stopped on May 2 but is scheduled to restart on May 12.

Ford said that the stoppage was intended to reduce inventories, which have
swelled as a result of a slump in U.S. demand.

All F650 and F750 model trucks produced at the plant are exported.
